The Telangana Government is likely to build a cemetery to bury the deceased of the Novel Coronavirus infection.
In the last few days, after the number of deaths increased due to the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 infection, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) decided to build a cemetery in a 20 acre land. The land was allocated to the cemetery in Rangareddy and Medchal districts.
However, concerned by the pandemic situation, officials of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) wrote a letter to the collectors of Rangareddy and Medchal districts and directed them to transfer the land to the GHMC for cemetery.
The GHMC officials also assured zero inconvenience to the people residing in nearby areas.
Meanwhile, the GHMC officials are also gearing up to repair the electric crematorium machines, which would help to incinerate the bodies in just 10 minute.
Space to bury the bodies is a major concern for the State Government officials as the space used to bury one patient of COVID-19 would not be used for other patients.
Till the 5th of June, Telangana reported a total of 100 deaths due to the Novel Coronavirus.
