Ms. Tamilisai Soundararajan, the Governor of Telangana, is scheduled to hold a “Mahila Darbar” as a part of “Praja Darbar”. The Mahila Darbar would be held on the 10th of June, Friday, to hear the voices of women, at the Raj Bhavan in Hyderabad, Telangana.
The initiative of the Telangana Governor came in the view of the rising cases of molestation, sexual harassment, and rape against women, raising security concerns in Telangana, Hyderabad.
The scheduled Mahila Darbar would begin from 12:00 noon to 1:00 P.M., confirmed an official communique released by the Raj Bhavan. The notification mentioned that anyone can get an appointment by calling 040-23310521 or by emailing the request to
[email protected]. This is the first such initiative (Praja Darbars) aiming to interact with the women.
Furthermore, the Telangana Governor Ms. Tamilisai Soundararajan also sought a report on the recent gang rape of a minor girl in a car in Jubilee Hills.
Meanwhile, the Hyderabad Police is still investigating the case and arrested six people in the Hyderabad minor girl gang rape case. Of the six accused, five are juveniles and one is an adult,18 years old.
