The Telangana High Court (HC,) on the 19th of May, gave green signal to conduct the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations (10th examinations) in Telangana.

The Telangana HC reviewed a petition filed by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) seeking approval to conduct the pending papers of SSC examinations.   Due to the nation wide lockdown, the State Education department had to postpone the exams until further notice.

However, recently, the TRS Government sought approval to conduct exams by following social distancing.

In regard to this, the HC approved to conduct the exams from the 8th of June.   The Court also asked the Education department to maintain social distancing, a gap of two days between pending exams and a helpline desk for the SSC students.

The Chief Justice of Telangana, Raghavendra Singh Chauhan, who conducted the hearing through a video conference, directed the state Government to review the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 situation in the State on the 3rd of June.

The Court asked the State Government to submit a detailed report of the Coronavirus situation in the State on the 4th of June.

Based on the report and the approval from the Telangana HC on the 4th of June, the State would likely conduct SSC exams from the 8th of June.

Stay tuned  for further updates.
