Candidates preparing for government jobs often face challenges when major exams are scheduled close together. Such clashes can make it difficult for applicants to attend both tests, especially when their exam centres are in different cities.
The Telangana High Court has refused to postpone the Telangana Public Service Commission’s (TGPSC) Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) examinations, scheduled for November 6 and 7.
Justice K. Sarath passed the order on Friday while hearing a petition filed by U. Satish and six other candidates. They pointed out that the Staff Selection Commission’s Junior Engineer (SSC-JE) exams would run from November 2 to 6, with some candidates assigned centres in cities such as Mumbai, Pune, Thane and Nanded.
TGPSC opposed changing the schedule, stating that more than 40,000 candidates were expected to take the AEE exams.
However, the Commission offered to consider individual requests from candidates facing a clash and help them attend both exams at their district headquarters.
The court directed TGPSC to examine representations submitted by 5 pm on October 30, but allowed the announced exam dates to remain unchanged.
