Shopping malls, hotels, restaurants and religious places are all set to open in Telangana with a set of guidelines after 2 months of closure, on the 8th of June.

K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, directed the concerned officials to ensure social distancing while the aforementioned public places are open.

The officials are also instructed to ensure all the malls, restaurants, shops, hotels and temples, follow the guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs) issued by the State Government.

The decision to allow the reopening of malls, restaurants and other places came after the Central Government allowed relaxation to enhance economic growth.   

As temples are set to reopen for devotees from today A. Indrakaran Reddy, the Minister of Endowments, Law and Environment, Forest of Telangana, unced several guidelines such as sanitization of temples, masks, no prasad distribution and others.

For shopping malls, no trails of clothes and functioning trail rooms would be there for customers. 

Thermal screening and face masks are mandatory for people in restaurants, shopping malls and temples.

However, theatres, parks, educational institutions and metro services are still restricted in Telangana, as a precautionary measure to control the spread of the Novel Coronavirus.

Meanwhile, Telangana reported a total of 3,650 cases of the Novel Coronavirus infections.  Out of the total 1,771 are active cases, 1,742 are recovered cases and 137 deceased.
