Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, paid tribute to police martyrs on the eve of the Police Commemoration Day.
To mark the occasion, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government leaders and Chief Minister paid tribute to the police officials who sacrificed their lives while performing duties. On the evening of the 20th of October, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao expressed gratitude and paid tribute to the officers who lost their lives on duty.
Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao said, “The services of police martyrs were never forgotten.” He called on the police personnel to get inspired and dedicate themselves to the duty.
In addition, Mr. Mahmood Ali, the Home Minister of Telangana also paid homage and said, “The Government is striving for the welfare for the police department and has supported the families of the police personnel who lost their lives due to COVID-19. The festivals such as Bonalu and Ramzan were held on a peaceful note and barosa centres were set up for women’s welfare.”
Mr. Mahender Reddy, the Director General of Police (DGP) also took pride the police officials, who performed their duties with honesty. He said, “Telangana will be developed as a crime-free State with the Government cooperation.”
Meanwhile, on the 21st of October, Thursday, India celebrated The Police Martyrs’ Remembrance Day. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other union ministers paid homage to the police officials who died while performing their duties for their nation.
