In the view of rising terrorist movements in the Telugu State of Telangana, the Hyderabad Police became alert.
The alert came after the recent joint operation of Bhopal Anti Terror Squad (ATS) and Hyderabad Counter Intelligence. According to police, a total of 17 people have been arrested in the terror conspiracy case, including six from Hyderabad and others from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
Furthermore, all the arrested people are said to have links with the Hizb-ut-Tahreek terrorist organization. The police also said the terrorists had hatched a huge conspiracy and were suspected to have prepared for simultaneous attacks in different parts of the country including Madhya Pradesh and Hyderabad.
After the arrest, the ATS officials produced the five arrested in Hyderabad on the 9th of May, Tuesday in the Bhopal court on Wednesday, the 10th of May. The court remanded them in police custody till 20th of May. In addition, the search for Mohammed Salman of Shivaji Nagar, Jawahar Nagar, who narrowly escaped from the police, is underway.
Meanwhile, the probe in the terrorist movement is underway.
