On the night of the 16th of October, the Telangana Health Ministry, released a media bulletin updating about the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 status in the State.
Eatala Rajender, the Health Minister of Telangana took to Twitter and released the media bulletin.
According to the bulletin, in the past 24 hours, Telangana recorded 1,451 new cases of COVID-19.
Of the total new cases, the highest number of infections was reported from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits with 235 cases, followed by Rangareddy (104,) Medchal Malkajgiri (101) and 92 from Bhadradri Kothagudem.
The remaining cases were reported,84 from Nalgonda, 71 from Khammam, 65 from Karimnagar, 64 from Siddipet, 55 from Warangal Urban, 37 from Suryapet, 34 from Kamareddy, 32 each from Nizamabad and Sangareddy, 30 from Sircilla, 29 from Jagtial, 28 each from Peddapalli, Warangal Rural and Jangaon, 24 each from Yadadri-Bhongir, Mahabubabad, Nirmal and Wanaparthy, 22 each from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Vikarabad and Mancherial, 20 from Mulugu, 15 from Narayanpet and 7 from Komaram Bheem Asifabad.
In addition to the new cases, the State recorded 9 fatalities and 1,983 recoveries in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, between the 15th and the 16th of October, the Telangana Health Department conducted as many as 42,497 tests for the Novel Coronavirus, of which results of 1,174 are pending.
So far, 37,89,460 tests have been conducted in Telangana.
With these updates, Telangana has a total of 2,20,675 positive cases, of which 22,774 are active cases, 1,96,636 are recovered/discharged cases and 1,265 deceased cases.
The recovery rate of Telangana in terms of COVID-19 infection is at 89.10 % and fatality rate at 0.57 %.
