In the past few days, Telangana is reporting a massive rise in the cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
From the past 24 hours, the State reported a total of 2,817 new COVID-19 infections and 10 fatalities.
While the new cases are over 2,500 taking the total active cases to 32,537 with 10 fatalities death cases reached 856.
According to the released media bulletin by the Health Department of Telangana, of the new 2,817 cases, 36 are from Adilabad, 89 from Bhadradri and 452 from areas under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC.)
Other districts which reported new cases of the Novel Coronavirus are: 88 from Jagtial, 41 from Jangaon, 26 from Bhupalapally, 33 from Gadwal, 62 from Kamareddy, 164 from Karimnagar, 157 from Khammam, 19 from Komarambheem Asifabad, 42 from Mahabubnagar, 62 from Mahabubabad, 71 from Mancherial, 35 from Medak, 129 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 18 Mulugu, 41 from Nagarkurnool, 157 from Nalgonda, 21 from Narayanpet, 16 from Nirmal, 97 from Nizamabad, 75 from Peddapalli, 53 from Siricilla, 216 from Rangareddy, 76 from Sangareddy, 120 each from Siddipet, 116 from Suryapet, 27 from Vikarabad, 45 from Wanaparthy, 46 from Warangal Rural, 114 from Warangal Urban and 73 positive cases from Yadadri Bhongir.
With thrse updates, there are 1,33,406 positive cases, 32,537 active cases and 856 deceased.
A total of 2,611 persons have recovered on the 2nd of September.
With new recoveries, total recovered cases of COVID-19 stand at 1,00,013 with a recovery rate of 74.9%.
Meanwhile, between Tuesday (the 1st of September) and Wednesday (the 2nd of September) the health authorities conducted 59,711 Coronavirus tests.
This is the 8th consecutive day, the Telangana Health Department conducted between 30,000 and 50,000 test.
With this, the State tested nearly 15,42,978 COVID-19 tests in the State.
