The Telangana Health Department confirmed 983 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Of the 983 cases, 16 were from Adilabad, 16 from Bhadradri, 273 from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) 12 from Jagtial, Jangaon (13,) Bhuplapally (12,) Gadwal (12,) Kamareddy (28,) Karimnagar (54,) Khammam (23,) Komarambheem Asifabad (7,) Mahabubnagar (21,) Mahabubabad (18,) Mancherial (1,) Medak (18,) Medchal Malkajgiri (48,) Mulugu (14,) Nagarkurnool (32,) Nalgonda (11,) Narayanpet (2,) Nirmal (2,) Nizamabad (42,) Peddapalli (44,) Siricilla (20,) Rangareddy (74,) Sangareddy (37,) Siddipet (6,) Suryapet (11,) Vikarabad (4,) Wanaparthy (26,) Warangal Rural (25,) Warangal Urban (57) and 5 positive cases from Yadadri Bhongir.
According to the media bulletin, with 983 cases the total positive cases stand at 67,660 and with 11 new fatalities the death toll is 551.
The State conducted 9,443 sample tests in the past 24 hours. With this, the total sample tests till date to 4,87,238. Of the total 9,443 results of 1,414 sample tests are awaited.
With these updates, Telangana has 67,660 positive cases, 48,609 are recovered/discharged cases and 18,500 are active cases.
Of the total active cases, 11,911 persons are under home isolation and remaining positive cases are in institutional care.
With the everyday spike in the Novel Coronavirus cases, the recovery rate in Telangana reduced to 71.80 % from the previous 72.40 %. In addition, mortality rate is 0.80% and growth rate 2.80 %.
