In Telangana, senior citizens and children have been alerted amid the sudden drop in temperature, due to the cyclone effects in winter.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) and State Weather Department predicted a massive drop in temperature, especially during nights in the Telugu State of Telangana.
According to the weather forecast, the fall in temperature during the wee hours of the day and night is due to the effect of Cyclone Mandous. Considering the situation, Telangana might also receive light to moderate rainfall, bringing cold waves and chilly foggy mornings in Hyderabad city.
People are advised to take extra caution and be careful from the chilly mornings and cold waves, as the temperature is expected to go below minimum levels, like below 7 degrees Celcius.
The weather department further warned that the intensity of cold will increase in the coming days in Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad and Kamareddy.
In addition, medical experts also warned the elderly, small children and asthma patients to take proper precautions and be alert to the possibility of an outbreak of seasonal diseases.
On the 7th of December, many outskirts areas of the Telugu State witnessed below 10 degrees Celcius temperatures.
