On Monday, the 8th of November, Telangana reported 161 new cases with one death and 161 recoveries. The new cases were confirmed by conducting 37,844 sample tests for the COVID-19 infection. It has been a week that the number of tests decreased from the usual 45,000 tests a day to 37,000 to 38,000.
With the tests conducted in the past 24 hours, the State Health Department crossed 2.78 crores (2,78,35,158) COVID-19 tests till date.
The aforementioned data was confirmed through a health bulletin, released by the Telangana Health Department, on a regular basis. The media bulletin of the State Health Department which is being released in the evenings regularly, updates about the COVID-19 situation in Telangana.
According to the COVID-19 data, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) is the only one, which reports more than 50 cases regularly. Yesterday (Monday,) the GHMC limit reported 50 new COVID-19 cases, followed by Medchal Malkajgiri 12 cases, Rangareddy 10 cases and Karimnagar with 8 cases. In addition, a total of 9 districts of Telangana reported zero new Wuhan virus cases in the past 24 hours.
With this, Telangana now has 6,72,650 positive cases, of which 3,750 are active cases, 6,64,933 are recovered/discharged cases and 3,967 are deceased.
The recovery rate of Telangana is at 98.85% and the fatality rate of COVID-19 remained constant for the past five months at 0.58 %.
