Ms. Y.S. Sharmila, the President of the YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP) would resume her padayatra, again on the 1st of December, Thursday.
It is to be noted, Ms. Y.S. Sharmila is conducting the Praja Prasthana Padayatra, raising her voice against the rule of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) in the Telugu State of Telangana. However, on the 29th of December, during her yatra in Warangal, the YSRTP leaders and the TRS leaders indulged in a clash, which turned violent.
After the Warangal incident, Ms. Y.S. Sharmila protested and tried to siege the Pragati Bhavan, the TRS Camp Office of Mr. K. Chandrashkar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana. In this attempt, Ms. Y.S. Sharmila was even detained by the Hyderabad Police.
Later, she was released and has been allowed to resume her padayatra, with certain conditions given by the Telangana High Court. After the Narsampet Police denied permission to Ms. Y.S. Sharmila for the yatra, she knocked on the door of the Telangana HC, which allowed to conduct the padayatra, but with certain conditions.
The High Court ordered that the padayatra should be undertaken without provoking anyone or causing enmity.
Meanwhile, the Y.S. Sharmila led Praja Prasthana Padayatra would begin from Narsampet and would end at Mahboobabad, Telangana.
