The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government is all set to launch the Dalit Bandhu Scheme in the Huzurabad Assembly constitutuency.

On the 16th of August, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, would launch the scheme, which would benefit Dalits in the Assembly constituency. In regard to this, the State Government has released an amount of Rs. 2,000 crores.

Under the announced Dalit Bandhu scheme, the financial benefits would empower Dalits in Telangana. The Dalit Bandhu Scheme (Dalit Empowerment Program) would provide financial assistance to Dalit families. The Chandrashekar Rao Government would provide Rs. 10 lakh financial assistance directly to the bank accounts of Dalit beneficiaries under the Chief Minister Dalit Empowerment Programme. The eligible families selected as beneficiaries from 119 Assembly constituencies would receive the money to make them financially stable and self sufficient.

On the 15th of August, Mr. T. Harish Rao, the Finance Minister of Telangana, addressed the media and briefed about the to be launched scheme. He said, close to 20,000 families would get the benefit under the Dalit Bandhu Scheme. However, some people are creating hurdles for the people and the Party, and filed a petition against the scheme. He said, ” (The) SC families are observing these litigants closely and it will soon be discovered as to who is behind the conspiracy.”

During the Dalit Bandhu scheme launch in Huzurabad, the Telangana CM would hand over a cheque of Rs. 10 lakhs to 15 beneficiaries at the event. After the launch, the Telangana Chief Secretary Mr. Somesh Kumar, the Telangana Scheduled Caste Development Principal Secretary Mr. Rahul Bojja and the Huzurabad District Collector Mr. R.V. Karnan wuod ensure smooth and flawless implementation of the scheme in the poll bound constituency.

A similar pilot project of the Dalit Bandhu scheme was launched in Vasalamarri Village, on the 4th of August. Now, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) would extend the scheme to the Huzurabad Assembly constituency.
