Ambati Venkanna, a local leader of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS,) was attacked on the 18th of September in Narsampet, Warangal Rural district, Telangana.
The incident took place during the early hours of the 18th of September when Ambati, accompanied by his wife, was on a morning walk. The unidentified men attacked him with knives, due to which he suffered severe injuries.
Ambati Venkanna’s wife also got injured as she was beaten up by the attackers while she was trying to save her husband from them.
After the attack, the attackers left the spot and Ambati was shifted to the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial (MGM) Hospital in Warangal district. Ambati, who is said to be in critical condition, is currently undergoing treatment.
The Warangal Police registered a case and suspect the attack took place due to land disputes. However, nothing can be said until the Police catch the attackers.
The Police launched an investigation regarding the case.
