T. Harish Rao, the Finance Minister of Telangana, announced a pay hike in the salaries of contract lecturers soon.
On the 4th of July, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Minister said, the K. Chandrashekar Rao Government is committed to the welfare of contract lecturers in the State. In regard to this, the Telangana Government has decided to increase the salaries of these lecturers.
The decision was taken during a meeting of the contract lecturers after receiving an approval from KCR, the Chief Minister of Telangana.
Mr. Harish Rao said. “KCR is kind enough and is taking (the) necessary measures to get them a pay hike as per the recent decision.” He further said, “Ours is an employee friendly government that helps all sections.”
In addition, Harish Rao assured contract lecturers to get basic pay hikes and benefits as per the PRC recommendations. He said their salaries would be paid in the first week itself.
However, an official announcement and government order (GO) regarding the same is awaited.
