K.T. Rama Rao, the Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) Minister of Telangana, sanctioned an amount of Rs. 1 crore to Sri Rajarajeshwara Swamy Temple in Vemulawada for Maha Shivratri celebrations.

On the 31st of January, KTR conducted a meeting with newly elected Municipal Chairman Ramatheerthapu Madhavi and Vice Chairman Madhu Rajendar Sharma.

The meeting was held at the Vemulawada Camp Office.  During the meeting, KTR sanctioned the amount and directed the officials to make arrangements for ‘Shivarchana’ at the Sri Rajarajeshwara Swamy Temple.

On the 20th of February and the 21st of February, on the occasion of Maha Shivratri, the State would celebrate and conduct Shivarchana at the Temple.

KTR, the Working President of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS,) also promised to provide all the support for the development of Vemulawada and the Temple.

Besides the arrangements for Shivarchana, the TRS Minister also asked the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Vemulawada and the concerned officials to make arrangements for Sammakka Saralamma Jatara.

As per KTR’s instructions, the Vemulawada Temple Development Authority (VTDA) would conduct a meeting with the Vemulawada MLA, the Municipal Chairman and the Vice Chairman soon to discuss the matter of developing the town.
