The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) on the evening of the 6th of January, Thursday announced the intermediate first year results date.
As per the direction of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) President and Chief Minister of Telangana Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the results would be announced on the 7th of January. However, this would be the updated results of inter first year students who failed in the examinations.
According to the recent announcement of Mr. K. Chandrashekar Roa, students who failed intermediate exams would also be passed. They would be given minimum marks to pass the intermediate first year. Last month, on the 16th of December, the declared the intermediate first-year result.
As per the declared results, at least 50% students failed the intermediate exams. Later, student unions and leaders staged protest, demanding pass marks for all students, especially during pandemic, when classes are being online.
In addition, due to failing intermediate exams, many students even committed suicide, following which, the TRS Government decided to pass 100% students, who appeared for the intermediate exams.
Meanwhile, in order to improve marks and overall percentage, students have an option of reappearing, when intermediate first year exams would be held again.
The results of the failed students with 35% passing marks are likely to be announced later today, the 7th of January.
