A student of Teegala Ram Reddy (TRR) College of Pharmacy committed suicide on the 3rd of November in Hyderabad.
The incident came to light on the 4th of November, when the family members of the girl reported the case at the Meerpet Police Station.
The student was identified as Sandhya, a third year polytechnic student at the TRR College of Pharmacy. According to the initial investigation, a professor working at the College harassed Sandhya, causing her to take the extreme step of taking her own life. The management also threatened Sandhya and said they would detain her in her final year.
Sandhya was unable to bear the harassment and was mentally disturbed, due to which she hanged herself to death.
The students of TRR College gathered outside the college and staged a protest against the college authorities and demanded justice for Sandhya.
The management did not respond to the allegations yet.
The Police, on the other hand, are trying to investigate all the possible angles in the suicide case.
