Y.S. Sharmila, the sister of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) participated in Nirudyoga Nirahara Deeksha (hunger strike dharna) at Tatiparthi village of Wanaparthy division, Telangana.

According to sources, Y.S. Sharmila sat on the hunger strike in demand of government jobs for youths of the village. She urged the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government to fill 3.85 lakh vacant government posts in Telangana. With the launch of three days of the Nirudyoga Nirahara Deeksha, Y.S. Sharmila said she would continue the strike, until the State Government releases a notification regarding the job vacancies. The three days of Deeksha is against the unemployment situation in Telangana.

Criticising the K. Chandrashekar Rao led TRS Government, Ms. Sharmila, the President and Founder of the YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP) reached the village in the early morning. The decision to sit on Deeksha was taken after Mr. Kondal, a resident of Tadiparthy village, who was unable to secure a job, committed suicide. She met the family of Kondal and expressed her condolences.

In addition, Ms. Y.S. Sharmila, along with the YSRTP members and family of Kondal demanded justice for the victim and government jobs for youths.

Later, Y.S. Sharmila took part in a rally by foot till the Tadiparthy bus stop and addressed the media.

Addressing the media, Y.S. Sharmila said her Party would fight against the KCR Government till all the vacant posts are filled in the State.

The YSRTP leader declared every Tuesday as ‘Nirudyoga Vaaram’ (unemployment week) and said that around 3.85 lakh government posts are lying vacant in the state.

It is to be noted, recently on the 8th of July, Ms. Sharmila officially launched her party named YSRTP in Telangana. Named as the YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP,) the new Party is set to compete against the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) with a promise to bring the golden days of the State.

After floating her own political party in Telangana, Y.S. is expected to contest the 2023 Assembly elections. However, an official announcement regarding the same is yet to be made.
