And you thought that i Phone 6s is what you should buy this month! Make way for Nokia 301 which has duly held up its family name. The phone reportedly saved a man’s life in Afghanistan by taking a bullet for him.
The unnamed person was carrying the saviour of a phone in his pocket when the bullet was fired. It hit the device and stayed embedded in there. Obviously the phone was damaged beyond repair but the lucky guy came out of the situation hale and hearty, without a doubt, thanking his lucky stars.
Peter Skillman, Microsoft’s General Manager of Core UX for Windows Desktop, Tablet and Phone, was the one who brought this incident to light by tweeting about it. Within no time the Twitterati took to the net to share hilarious memes of how the phone is a symbol for strength and shield.

Of course this isn’t the first time that such news has been reported. One of the first ever Nokia models, 1100, also had the same shielding powers as did the Nokia 520 who saved a Brazilian policeman from a bullet to his chest. Lesser known news, but no less enthused, were the reports of i Phone 5 and HTC saving their owners too.
On the flip side though, it is a shame to see that smartphones are actually becoming the downfall of our generation built on pixels and posts.
