London: A London-based Indian Formula driver Ameya Vaidyanathan miraculously escaped injury after his car crashed in the British Formula Three race at Oulton Park in England over the weekend. While chasing the South African for ninth on Lap 7 Vaidyananthan made contact with the HHC Motorsport car while heading towards Cascades.
The car blew up into the air before it rolled along the ground multiple times. The race, which was being led by Vaidyanathan’s teammate Ricky Collard, was immediately red-flagged. The Indian was alert and in consciousness after the crash. He was soon taken to the medical centre and released shortly.
