Jupudi Prabhakar, a former Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP,) joined the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP.)
Jupudi Prabhakar, on the 8th of October, joined the YSRCP in the presence of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP.)
Mr. Prabhakar, was accompanied by the Rajahmundry Urban MLA, Akula Satyanarayana– who also met with Jagan Mohan Reddy and wished to join the YSRCP.
Akula Satyanarayana, was a member of the JanaSena Party who also resigned from the Party and wished to join the YSRCP.
All the 3 members of the TDP and the JanaSena resigned from their parties recently, however back then, they did not announce their decision to join the YSRCP earlier.
Jupudi Prabhakar was a YSRCP member and contested from Kondepi in the 2014 elections. However, he lost the election against a TDP candidate and later joined the TDP.
