Akula Satyanarayana, a senior leader of the JanaSena Party, on the 5th of October, submitted his resignation letter to Pawan Kalyan, the President of the Party.
The resignation of Satyanarayana is said to be a major drawback for the JanaSena Party. The reason behind the resignation of Satyanarayana is said to be the defeat of the Party in the 2019 Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.
The JanaSena Party won only one Assembly seat in the 2019 Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh.
Apart from Akula Satyanarayana, senior leaders like Ravela Kishore Babu, Chintala Parthasarathy, Marisetti Raghavaiah, Addepalli Sridhar and David Raju also resigned from the JanaSena Party.
After resigning from the JanaSena Party, David Raju joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP.)
Akula Satyanarayana did not reveal anything about joining any other political party after quitting the JanaSena Party.
