Manohar Lal Khattar, the incumbent Chief Minister of Haryana, is going to take oath as the Chief Minister of Haryana on the 27th of October.
On the 26th of October, Manohar Lal Khattar met Satyadev Narayana Arya, the Governor of Haryana and staked claim to form the Government in Haryana.
The BJP won 40 seats in the Haryana Assembly elections and marked the majority of 46 seats after establishing an alliance with the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP.) The JJP acted like the kingmaker as it extended its support to help the BJP mark the majority.
The alliance was formed on the condition Dushyant Chautala, the President of the JJP, would be made the Chief Minister of Haryana. However, the BJP offered the position of Deputy Chief Minister to Mr. Chautala and decided to make M.L. Khattar the CM of the State.
The oath taking ceremony is scheduled to be held at 2:15 P.M.
