Tirupati And Nagarjunasagar By Elections Schedule Released

On the 16th of March, the Election Commission of India released schedule for holding by election to Tirupati Lok Sabha seat and Nagarjunasagar Assembly constituency.

The two Member of Parliament (MP) and the Member od the Legislative Assembly (MLA) seat felt vacant with the demise of MP Balli Durga Prasad Rao and MLA Nomula Narsimhaiah.

According to the released notification, the nominations would begin from the 23rd of March till the 30th of March.

The polling would take place on the 17th of April and counting of votes on the 2nd of May.

The major parties contesting the elections are the Telugu Desan Party (TDP,) the Yugajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) and the JanaSena Party.

According to the sources, recently the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) announced to go for Tirupati constituency with the JanaSena.

For Tirupati parliamentary constituency, the main political parties have finalised the candidates and official announcement is expected very soon.
