On the 24th of March, the Telangana Higher Education Council decided to postpone the degree and Post Graduate (PG) examinations in Telangana.
The decision was announced by Papireddy, the Chairman of the Telangana Higher Education Councill during a press meet. Mr. Papireddy addressed the media and said, the examinations have not been canceled but postponed in the wake of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 rise in the State. After the situation of COVID-19 gets better, the concerned authority would re schedule the examinations.
The developments came a day after the Telangana Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy announced the closure of schools and colleges in the State from the 24th of March.
Meanwhile, with 300 plus new cases, the Novel Coronavirus cases crossed 3.60 lakh mark in Telangana. In addition, under the COVID-19 vaccination drive, only 4 lakh people were administered the COVID-19 vaccination doses.
