The daily cases of the Wuhan virus are rising constantly in India, raising alarming concerns for people and the concerned administration. Yesterday, the 8th o June, India reported over 5,000 cases, which increased to over 7,000 cases on the 9th of June, Thursday.
On Thursday, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) confirmed 7,240 new Wuhan virus cases, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19.) In addition, the Health Ministry also reported 8 fatalities in the past 24 hours. With this, in just 24 hours, India recorded 3,641 increased cases.
With the data revealed at 8:00 A.M., on Thursday, currently, India has a total tally of 4,31,97,522 Wuhan virus cases, of which 4,26,40,301 are recovered/discharged cases, 32,498 are active cases and 5,24,723 death cases.
Furthermore, the active cases comprise 0.08% of the total infections, with a daily positivity cases rate jump of 39%. In addition, the national COVID-19 recovery rate is at 98.71% from the previous 98.72%, whereas, the fatality rate increased to 1.22% from the previous 1.21% fatality rate.
Concerned about the rise, many states called for mandatory mask wearing in public and urged people to abide by the Wuhan virus protocol.
Meanwhile, under the nationwide vaccination drive, India administered a total of over 194.59crore vaccine doses.
