
Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has expressed deep concern over the deaths of five people due to diarrhea in Gurla village, Vizianagaram district, within the past two days. Four of these deaths occurred on Monday, prompting the Chief Minister to inquire about the prevailing conditions and seek details from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).
Naidu instructed officials to closely monitor the situation, particularly regarding medical treatment for those affected and the sanitation efforts being undertaken in the village. He emphasized the need for immediate action to prevent further casualties and control the spread of the disease.
Additionally, the Chief Minister urged officials to stay vigilant as heavy rains continue across the state, including in Nellore district, which is experiencing significant downpours. Naidu directed regular updates on the conditions in rain-hit areas to ensure prompt responses to any emergencies.
In a separate incident, the Chief Minister condemned the recent attack on the Lord Abayanjaneya temple in Annamayya district. He instructed authorities to take stringent action against those responsible for causing severe damage to the temple in Kadarinathunikota.
