Tadepalli: YSRCP President and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy sharply criticized the TDP coalition government, accusing it of fostering corruption and mismanagement. Speaking at the YSRCP central office, Jagan described the administration as a “looting and sharing” regime, condemning issues in sectors like sand, liquor, and flood relief, as well as calling out the Skill Development Scam.

Jagan highlighted how the TDP failed to fulfill key promises and relied on a vote-on-account budget despite being in office for five months. He pointed to skyrocketing sand prices under the TDP, with costs reaching Rs 60,000 per truckload, compared to the Rs 750 crore in revenue generated through his government’s transparent e-tendering process.

On liquor policy, Jagan accused Naidu of allowing private mafias to monopolize liquor sales, harming public health. He emphasized that, in contrast, his administration reduced the number of liquor shops and raised prices to curb alcohol consumption.

Discussing the Skill Development Scam, Jagan detailed how Naidu allegedly diverted Rs 371 crore through shell companies, while Siemens’ investigation confirmed the fraud. He noted that the ED’s attachment of assets has not stopped Naidu and allies from denying the accusations.

Jagan also questioned the TDP’s handling of Rs 368 crore in flood relief, claiming inadequate relief efforts. Additionally, he pressed the Election Commission to count VVPAT slips to ensure transparency, highlighting the need for robust democratic practices.
