
Amaravati: Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu reaffirmed that welfare, development, and good governance remain the core principles of the TDP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Addressing the Assembly on Wednesday, he emphasized the government’s commitment to improving living standards through key initiatives like the “Super-Six” schemes outlined in the election manifesto.
Highlighting the legacy of TDP founder N.T. Rama Rao, Mr. Naidu recalled transformative programs such as the ₹2-a-kg rice scheme and housing for the poor. He stated that these initiatives laid the foundation for welfare policies now implemented nationwide.
Reflecting on his political journey spanning over four decades, Mr. Naidu spoke about the hurdles he has faced, including false allegations and imprisonment. He assured the Assembly of his unwavering commitment to public welfare and reiterated that the state government is rebuilding Andhra Pradesh “brick by brick.”
The Chief Minister announced initiatives like integrating 150 public services into WhatsApp, launching the Deepam-2 scheme for gas cylinder subsidies, and addressing teacher vacancies. He also outlined plans for strengthening law enforcement, tackling social media abuse, and combating drug and ganja mafias.
Mr. Naidu pledged strict action against those undermining public safety and announced the establishment of a Drone City at Orvakallu to foster innovation and job creation.
