
Delhi: Prominent leaders of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) convened in Delhi to mark the centenary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The meeting, hosted at BJP National President JP Nadda’s residence, saw the participation of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Union Minister Rammohan Naidu, and several other key leaders from NDA allies.
While the official agenda of the meeting was not disclosed, sources suggest that discussions revolved around good governance and current political developments. The gathering highlighted Vajpayee’s enduring legacy and the alliance’s commitment to his ideals.
Among the notable attendees were Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh of the JDU, Apna Dal (S) President and Union Minister Anupriya Patel, JDS leader and Union Minister HA Kumaraswamy, Hindustani Awam Morcha (S) leader and Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, RLM President Upendra Kushwaha, and Bharat Dharma Jana Sena Party President Tushar Velappally.
Meanwhile, it is reported that the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC), chaired by PP Chaudhary, is set to meet on January 8 to deliberate on two bills aimed at implementing simultaneous Lok Sabha and Assembly elections across the country.
