
Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh government has initiated steps to fulfill its promise of providing Rythu Bharosa funds to farmers after the Sankranti festival. Chief Minister Revant Reddy previously announced this initiative, reaffirming the government’s commitment to supporting the farming community.
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka emphasized the government’s dedication to farmers despite financial challenges. He stated, “We are committed to standing by the farmers and fulfilling our promises.”
A sub-committee meeting on farmer insurance was held at the Secretariat, chaired by Bhatti Vikramarka. Ministers Tummala Nageswara Rao, Sridhara Babu, and Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy participated, discussing measures to ensure a smooth rollout of Rythu Bharosa benefits for the Yasangi crop season.
During the two-hour deliberation, the committee reviewed feedback from farmers and data collected by officials during statewide tours. The ministers analyzed the scheme’s performance since its inception and planned improvements to address farmers’ concerns effectively.
Vikramarka reassured that the government’s pre-election promise of farmer support would be fulfilled through prompt action, ensuring timely financial assistance.
