Hyderabad is set to strengthen its position as a global centre for education, skills and innovation, with the Telangana government working to bring more international universities and institutions to the city.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced that Harvard University’s Executive Education programmes will be offered in Hyderabad from December 2026. The announcement came during a meeting with a 30-member delegation from leading UK universities and business schools at the Dr MCR Human Resource Development Institute.
The Chief Minister said discussions and partnerships are also underway with institutions including MIT, Purdue University, University of London, Virginia Tech and Northeastern University. These collaborations could cover executive education, dual-degree programmes, faculty training, research and industry-academia partnerships.
The Telangana government is also developing an Education Hub and Young India Skills University as part of its plans for Bharat Future City. The aim is to connect education, research, skills and global companies in one ecosystem.
A.Revanth Reddy said the state wants Telangana to become a place where global institutions come to learn, research, innovate and invest. The government has set economic targets of a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and $3 trillion by 2047.
