Lucky Baskhar has added another major honour to its journey after winning at the 72nd National Film Awards. The Telugu film was recognised in the Best Screenplay category, with Venky Atluri honoured as the Dialogue Writer.
Venky Atluri received a Rajat Kamal along with a cash prize of ₹2 lakh for his work on the film. The award recognises the strong writing and dialogues that helped shape the story of Lucky Baskhar.
The National Film Awards recognised films certified in 2024. The winners were announced in July, while the awards were formally presented by President Droupadi Murmu at a ceremony in Ekta Nagar, Gujarat, on September 22, 2026.
Lucky Baskhar, starring Dulquer Salmaan, became one of the notable Telugu films recognised at this year’s National Film Awards. The honour adds another achievement to the film’s successful run and highlights the contribution of its writing team.
