In Andhra Pradesh’s Vizianagaram region, locals found an abandoned baby on the railway tracks, on the 25th of April, Monday.
The District Police said, the baby was found in a bag on the railway tracks near the electricity office on Kothavalasa-Visakha road in the morning hours. The Kothavalasa Circle Inspector Mr. B.S. Rao said, “A man found the male baby on the railway tracks in a bag and informed the police and we reached the spot.”
Meanwhile, the District Police have registered a case and are investigating the matter. The case has been registered under Section 317 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC)
Furthermore, the baby currently is with the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) after he underwent a medical checkup at Parameswari hospital.
The case and investigation in the matter are underway.
