After Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, the Chief of JanaSena Party, also criticised Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.)
On the 28th of April, Pawan Kalyan took to Twitter and lashed out at Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for stating the pandemic illness was like a fever.
Mr. Kalyan took to Twitter and said, “COVID-19 (Corona) it’s not just a regular fever as we all might think; case studies in China,revealing,considerable lung damage is being caused to COVID- 19 patients,according to @ScienceNews . Please check.”
Mr. Jagan on the 27th of April, addressed the citizens of A.P., and spoke about the measures taken to control the spread of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
During the press meet Mr. Reddy said, “Corona could afflict some Yellaiah or Pullaiah, or even me. It’s nothing but fever. It comes and goes. Take medicines when it comes and some care.” He further added, “Despite the numerous measures taken, the reality is that we can’t really contain the virus. Even if one person is left out somewhere, and if he sneezes or cough(s)…the virus spreads. It is a never ending process. No way the virus gets fully eliminated.”
Jagan Mohan Reddy even compared the Novel Coronavirus infection to the contagious diseases like Swine flu and Chickenpox.
Chandrababu Naidu also criticised Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for comparing such a pandemic illness, which killed 31 people and infected more than 1,000 to fever.
Andhra Pradesh recorded a total of 1,259 cases of the Novel Coronavirus and 31 deaths till date.
