In Andhra Pradesh’s Krishna district, a major accident was averted due to the alertness of the State run bus driver.
Notably, in the wee hours of the 21st of October, Friday, an Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) bus caught fire while it was running. However, the bus driver realised the spark and stopped the bus on the side of Pedaparupudi road, in Krishna district.
The bus driver immediately asked all the 60 passengers onboard to evacuate and save any kind of casualty or injury. After all the passengers got out off the bus safely, the APSRTC Bus travelling from Vijayawada to Gudivada, caught massive fire. Although passengers were safe, they lost all their belongings including valuable gold and other items.
The major cause behind the fire is said to be a short circuit in the engine.
Meanwhile, a fire brigade rushed to the spot and started to douse the fire, following which a team of the Krishna Police also reached the spot. A case has been registered and an investigation has been launched into the tragic incident.
