A 17 year old visually impaired girl was assaulted and brutally murdered in the Tadepalli region of Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh.
The incident occurred in the NTR Katta area, on the 13th of February, Monday. The accused identified as Raju, a resident of the same area allegedly murdered the victim named Esther Rani.
Getting into the details, Raju was harassing Rani and misbehaved with her on Sunday, the 12th of February. However, Rani informed her parents, following which they warned Raju and complained about the harassment to Raju’s parents. Raju felt embarrassed and was in anger, following which on Monday, he attacked Rani with a weapon on her head. It is to be noted, Raju was under the influence of Marijuana.
The locals shifted the seriously injured Rani to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. The police reached the spot on the information of the locals arrested Raju.
The incident occurred just half kilometre away from the camp office of the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. The people expressed anger over the incident and blamed the police who did not take action, which led to the incident.
