The Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) Government, launched the ‘Kurnool fights Corona’ operation, after the district recorded the highest number of the positive cases for the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
Ajay Jain, the State COVID-19 officer and Principal Secretary to the Andhra Pradesh Government launched the operation, as a need to curb the spread of the virus in the district.
Addressing a press conference on the 25th of April, Mr. Jail said the district administration is trying all the efforts to prevent the spread and identify the positive cases with rapid testing.
Mr. Jain addressed the media with G. Veerapandian, the District Collector of Kurnool and other officials of Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh.
Kurnool has a total of 279 cases for the Coronavirus, whereas, deaths due to COVID-19 rose to 9 till date. Four fresh cases of Coronavirus were reported on the 26th of April.
Meanwhile, with 81 new cases, Andhra Pradesh reported a total of 1,097 cases of the Novel Coronavirus and 31 deaths till date.
