Telangana Student Designs Device To Maintain Social Distancing

In the wake of the increasing Novel Coronavirus infection cases and importance and need of social distancing, a student of Telangana designed a device to maintain social distancing.

Budavarapu Sneha, a first year B. Sc electronics student in Apoorva Degree College in Karimnagar designed a device which would alert and ring an alarm if someone violates social distancing norm in open areas.

The instrument designed is effective for people as it would  sounds an alarm when any other person approaches the wearer in a radius of one meter.

The device is named as ‘COVID-19 Alert ID Card’ and helps to maintain one meter distance and curb the spread of the virus.

The student also designed a watch which functions in a similar way and would help one to avoid touching face.

If anyone touches face, sensors in the watch rings an alarm which works as a help to avoid in touching faces.

Meanwhile, Telangana reported a total of 991 cases of the Novel Coronavirus with 26 deaths till the 26th of April.
