The Andhra Pradesh Government is set to initiate another welfare scheme in the State.

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, on the 21st of December, would inaugurate the program.

The launch event is scheduled to be held in Jaggaiahpet, Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh.

A comprehensive survey of lands is going on after hundreds of years, to resolve land disputes in the 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh.

The YSR Jagananna Permanent Land Rights – Land Protection program was launched six months ago as a pilot project in the Krishna district.

However, after a survey of 6 months, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government would inaugurate the program officially.

The survey would be carried under YSR Jagananna Saswatha Bhu Hakku Bhu Raksha scheme. The survey would spread over 1.26 lakh sq kms across the State. As many as 17,000 villages would be covered in three phases.

As many as 5,000 villages will be covered in the first phase, 6,500 in the second phase, and 5,500 in the third phase. The survey will be conducted on 3345.93 sq km in towns and cities covering 10 lakh open plots and 40 lakh assessment lands and 2.26 crore acres of land belonging to 90 lakh pattadar passbook holders.

As the survey has already been completed once, CM Jagan Mohan Reddy would look into the nature of the survey and hand over the pattas (land) to the farmers.

Under the new project, a resurvey would be conducted across Andhra Pradesh.

The land resurvey would be conducted by a drone under the auspices of the Survey of India. The resurvey is based on latitude and longitude for which 70 base stations would be set up in Andhra Pradesh.

About 14,000 surveyors in the state would take part in the survey process. Of the total surveyors, 420 are fully trained.

All agricultural and non agricultural lands in the State would be resurveyed and demarcated with accuracy, following which permanent rights would be granted to the people of Andhra Pradesh.

However, full authority and rights of the surveyed land would be available after three years.

The Government has decided to complete the entire land survey in the State by August 2023.

After the complete land survey, the registration process would begin.

The village and ward secretariats would be doing the registration of lands in a corruption free and transparent manner.

Stay tuned for further updates.
