Andhra Pradesh reported 6,045 new cases by the evening of the 22nd of July, taking the total to 64,818.
According to the state’s health bulletin, the State reported 434 foreign returnees cases, 2,461 from other states and remaining local cases.
A total of 49,553 samples were tested in the last 24 hours in the past 24 hours.
A total of 14,35,827 samples have been tested so far in the State till date.
The highest cases were reported from Visakhapatnam district with 1,049 cases in the last 24 hours, followed by East Godavari (891) and Guntur (842.)
With these updates, the State has a total of 31,605 active cases, 32,127 recovered or discharged cases and
India added 37,724 fresh cases of COVID-19 taking the country’s tally to 11,92,915 today. This is the seventh consecutive day that COVID-19 cases have increased by more than 30,000. The death toll due to the disease rose to 28,732 with 648 people succumbing to the disease in the last 24 hours, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated at 8 am.
