The Telugu State of Andhra Pradesh is all set to celebrate the centenary (100 years celebration) of Mr. Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR.)
The event, marking the 100 years of the Telugu icon, actor turned politician late NTR, is organized to be held at Poranki Anumolu Gardens in Vijayawada, on the evening of the 28th of April, Friday. At the event, two books containing historical speeches of NTR in the Assembly and the speeches made on various platforms have been included in these books.
Meanwhile, Tamil superstar Rajinikanth reached Vijayawada to attend the event. He came to Vijayawada to participate in the inauguration ceremony of NTR’s centenary celebrations. NTR’s son and well-known Tollywood actor N. Balakrishna received Rajinikanth at Gannavaram Airport here.
Meanwhile, highlighting the career of late NTR, he entered politics in 1982 by floating the TDP on the slogan of self respect. Within nine months of the party launch, the TDP created a record of sorts by coming to power within nine months. The TDP founder died of cardiac arrest on January 18, 1996.
