Amaravati: The School Education Department of Andhra Pradesh has announced the rollout of comprehensive progress cards, also known as holistic cards, for students in government schools. These new cards replace the earlier Pragati cards, offering a more detailed and insightful assessment of a student’s academic and overall development.
A key feature of the holistic cards is the inclusion of a QR code on the inside page. This QR code helps identify student learning challenges and provides insights into their likes, dislikes, academic abilities, and obstacles. The cards will be updated every six months, ensuring a regular review of the student’s progress.
Additionally, the cards will document essential health details such as blood group, height, weight, and Body Mass Index (BMI). These updates aim to track the physical and mental well-being of students alongside their academic performance.
MEO-2 Kaja Lakshminarayana stated that the holistic progress cards will enable a continuous evaluation of students’ overall development, ensuring targeted interventions for improvement where needed. This initiative is expected to enhance personalized learning experiences for students in government schools.
