Y.S. Vijayamma and Y.S. Sharmila, the mother and sister of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the President of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) started campaigning for the Party.
On the 28th of March, Vijayamma and Sharmila paid tribute to late Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy at YSR Ghat and announced, they will start their campaigns from the 29th of March, in Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking about the schedule, Vijayamma would be conducting several roadshows and public meetings in Prakasam district, Andhra Pradesh.
Y.S. Sharmila will also begin a bus yatra, covering approximately 50 constituencies in Andhra Pradesh.
Sharmila will start her bus yatra from Tadepalli in Mangalagiri district, from the 29th of March.
Extending support to the YSRCP, Sharmila and Vijayamma will hold talks with the farmers and the residents of the respective areas in Andhra Pradesh.
Andhra Pradesh will contest a total of 175 seats in the upcoming Assembly elections, scheduled on the 11th of April 2019.
The major parties contesting the Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections are the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) the TDP and the JanaSena Party.
The results of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections will be announced on the 23rd of May 2019.
