The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) on the 6th of April, released its manifesto for the upcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh (AP.)

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the President of the YSRCP, on the Telugu New Year, Ugadi, announced the manifesto, titled Nenu Vinnanu, Nenu Unnanu (I have heard, I am there.)

Jagan Mohan Reddy announced the manifesto at the Central Party office in Tadepalle, Guntur district. The Party manifesto will majorly deal with education, free health, Minimum Support Price (MSP) to farmers, poor people and others.

According to the Party, the manifesto includes nine major promises, named as ‘Navratna’ (nine promises.)

The major highlights of the manifesto:
For farmers:

1. Interest free loans for tenant farmers.
2. Nine hours of free electricity for farmers during morning hours.
3. Approximately Rs. 3,000 crores price stabilization funds for farmers in Andhra Pradesh.
4. Aqua farmers will enjoy electricity at Rs. 1 per unit.
5. Insurance of Rs. 7 lakhs to the families of those farmers who committed suicide.
6. Zero interest loan for farmers.
7. YSR Rythu Bharosa scheme for the welfare of farmers.

For the health sector:

1. If the cost of the medicines crosses Rs. 1,000, then it can be claimed under the Aarogyasri scheme.

2. All the treatments will be brought under the purview of the Aarogyasri scheme.

3. Government hospitals to get a facelift.

4. A pension of Rs. 10,000 for patients with long term diseases and kidney issues.

For senior citizens, women and children:

1. Old age pension of Rs. 3,000.
2. A decrease in the pension eligibility age, from 65 to 60 years.
3. A fund of Rs. 11,000 crores for the victims of the AgriGold scam.

4. Alcohol ban in the State, divided into three stages (only five star hotels will have alcohol.)
5. To fill 1,30,000 vacant jobs in AP.
6. To build 25 lakh houses in five years.

7. YSR Aasara scheme for the development of women and children in rural areas.
8. Amma Vodi scheme for the provision of free education to the children of AP.

As of now, out of the three major parties contesting the upcoming AP Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, the JanaSena Party and the YSRCP released their manifestos.

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is also scheduled to announce its manifesto, on the 6th of April.

Andhra Pradesh will contest a total of 175 seats and 25 seats in the upcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections respectively. The Andhra Pradesh Lok Sabha and Assembly elections are scheduled on the 11th of April.

The major parties contesting in Andhra Pradesh are the YSRCP, the TDP and the JanaSena Party.

The results of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly and Lok Sabha elections will be announced on the 23rd of May 2019.
