Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) felicitated E. Rajani, a member of the Indian Women’s Hockey Team, which played at the Tokyo Olympics 2020. The Chief Minister honoured Ms. Rajani with a shawl and a memento.
On the 11th of August, the A.P., Government also announced a cash incentive of Rs. 25 lakhs for Ms. E. Rajani. The money was given for the excellent performance of the Indian Women’s Hockey Team at the Olympics. However, the Indian team lost the match, nevertheless the team fought hard and made India proud at the 2020 Olympics. TheWomen’s Hockey Team took the 4th position at the Hockey event.
Ms. E. Rajani, a native of Chittoor district, A.P., returned to her hometown recently on the 10th of August. She was welcomed at the Gannavaram Airport. Later, on Wednesday, she met with Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. During the meeting, he congratulated Ms. Rajani and announced various incentives. He also ordered to provide a government job to one of the family members of Ms. E. Rajani.
Besides this, the State CM also directed the officials to immediately release the arrears declared to Ms. E. Rajani under the leadership of Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the former CM of A.P. Apart from the prize, job offer and land, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government also announced 1000 yards of residential land in Tirupati to the hockey player.
The CM also directed the officers to give incentives of Rs. 40,000 per month to the family of Ms. Rajani.
