He shared this update with the media at the NTR Bhavan in Mangalagiri, emphasizing that the teacher replacement process will commence at the beginning of the next academic year. Minister Lokesh highlighted that 80 percent of the teachers in both Andhra Pradesh and Nava Andhra Pradesh were appointed by the TDP government.
Lokesh further emphasized the government’s close collaboration with teachers’ unions, ensuring that teachers’ concerns are addressed. “The Education Department Commissioner listens to teachers’ problems every Friday, and we are adopting the ‘Transfer Act’ to ensure a transparent teacher transfer process,” he said.
Touching on the financial aspect, Lokesh pointed out the previous government’s arrears of Rs. 3,000 crore in fee reimbursements. “Upon our arrival, we paid Rs. 800 crore of these dues. The current government’s confusion about student and teacher data is problematic,” Lokesh remarked.
