The Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) Government, on the 23rd of April, issued orders to private schools to not increase academic fees for the year 2020-2021.

The Government Orders were issued after several school authorities were demanding fees from parents amid shut down during lockdown.

Justice Kanta Rao, the Chairman of the School Education Regulatory and Monitoring  Commission, issued the directives and asked private schools and educational institutions to not hike fees for the academic year 2020-2021.

If any schools violate the issued notice, they have to face consequences as strict action would be taken against the management.

The decision was taken in the wake of the imposed Nationwide lockdown since the 24th of March.

The proposed lockdown would end on the 3rd of May.
